Bhubaneswar: A significant achievement was reached on Wednesday in the Khurda Road–Bolangir railway line initiative, with the successful completion of the 4,185-meter-long Tunnel T-4 located between Adenigarh and Charichhak stations in the Boudh district.
This accomplishment marks the longest tunnel not only within this project but also in the state of Odisha. To date, 226 kilometers of the total 301-kilometer route has been completed, stretching from Khurda Road to Daspalla on one side and from Bolangir to Purnakatak on the opposite end.
The remaining 75 kilometers, which includes seven additional tunnels, is currently under construction and is making steady progress. The successful daylighting of Tunnel T-4 represents a crucial step forward, bringing the project closer to its objective of linking Odisha's coastal areas with its western regions.
